Events of Criminal Case
Brett became a suspect after Carmen and the player found his motion capture balls on the victim's script. He was saddened at hearing of Jackson's death, saying he had known him for all of his life. The two of them grew up together, and the victim made sure he always had work available for Brett whenever he was working on a new film.
Brett was spoken to again about his apparent 17 hour work schedule for the victim's film. He said as more and more people left the film, the victim had him replace the open parts. He was not happy that the victim kept abusing their friendship, leaving Brett very little time to do other activities and even sleep.
Brett was found to be innocent after the team incarcerated Jermaine Waaka for Jackson's murder. However, he had to be spoken to again about the possible involvement of SOMBRA in the film. In order to avoid possible suspicion, the player and Jack disguised themselves as elves. Brett pointed out that the teens playing the halflings had just upped and disappeared, much to Jack's surprise. When asked if he saw anyone suspicious, Brett did admit to seeing someone with blue skin walking around, but he vanished later on. Jack believed that blue person was Marshall Metcalf, who confessed to working with SOMBRA previously. They decided to investigate the set more to find more proof of SOMBRA's involvement.
