Eugene Goffman was a suspect in the murder investigation of iPear founder Paul Gigs in Gone Pear-Shaped (Case #13 of The Conspiracy).

Eugene is a 61-year old sociologist. He has long, curly black hair which is balding at the top, brown eyes, and notable aging wrinkles. He is seen wearing a brown tweed blazer over a white shirt with an orange bow tie, and a pair of gray glasses. He is also seen holding a blue book with a brown stripe. It is known that Eugene is a runner, has read User 404 and eats chia seeds.

Events of Criminal Case
Eugene became a suspect after Gloria and the player found his strange table reservation. He explained to them that his favorite table at a restaurant was repeatedly taken by the victim and as such, made sure that the reservation explicitly stated that the table was not for the victim. He was then informed of the murder and expressed his fascination to see how his death would affect the community.
Eugene was spoken to again about his diatribes against the victim. He expressed his frustration at the fact that everyone in The Greens worshipped the victim and his company. He then told them that unlike everyone else, he would resist the influences of iPear.
Eugene was found to be innocent after the team incarcerated Waldo Gigs for Paul's murder.
