Events of Criminal Case
Evangelina became a suspect after the player and Michelle found her through the victim's phone. She was aware they came because of her husband's death, which she was sad about. When asked if her husband had any enemies, she said he had none due to his work on Rayuela de Ficciones. She also pointed out the new book he was working on about a mythical conquistador's treasure, but could not go any further because of her emotions.
Evangelina was spoken to again about any early draft of Rayuela de Ficciones, which proved she wrote the book, not the victim. She admitted she wrote it, but her husband stole it from her because he could not stand her getting more famous than him, so he published it under his own name. When suggested she killed him for revenge, she simply said she was a writer, not a killer; and now that Ernesto was dead the world would know the truth.
Despite that, Evangelina was found to be innocent after the team incarcerated Lorena Pratx for Ernesto's murder.
