Fashion Victim is a case featured in Criminal Case, appearing as the fourteenth case of the game as well as in the city of Grimsborough. It takes place in the Financial Center, a district based in Grimsborough.
Plot
After a murder was reported in the shopping mall, the player and Jones went there to discover the body of fashion store owner Lucy Campbell, who was strangled with a hanger and impaled on a mannequin stand.
The detectives had to deal with solving the case with clashing testimonies from bar owner Nina Hunt and sales representative Joey Manzano about the victim's last hours before her death. With Ramirez and mall security guard Biff Wellington's assistance in the investigation, the detectives arrested mall cleaner Odell Toole for the murder.
Toole then admitted that he killed Lucy for attention, with the intention of getting caught. Dissatisfied with the lack of attention he received working as a mall cleaner, Toole decided to commit murder to gain public recognition. Judge Hall sentenced Odell to 20 years in jail for the premeditated murder.
After the trial, the detectives discovered Nina's illegal sale of absinthe, ticketing her for the operation. They also helped Biff recover his MP3 player and the victim's girlfriend Kim Aoki pay tribute to Lucy by finding her last fashion sketch.
