Events of Criminal Case
Khalid became a suspect after the player and Jack found his name tag in the victim's golf bag. Khalid said when he arrived to meet Seamus, he found he was already dead. Jack thought it was suspicious that Khalid just found the body and left, especially without informing the police first. Khalid had argued that if the police saw him with the body, he would be arrested on the spot. He was sad about the victim's death, saying he was quiet but a generous tipper.
Khalid had to be interrogated again regarding his fingerprints on the victim's stolen pocket cash. He thought that since the victim would not use it anymore, he would help himself, but went into detail on why when threatened with possibly being arrested for grand larceny. Khalid explained that he did not want to be a golf caddy working with rich people, and wanted to have some money and feel important for once. When Jack suggested his want to be important was what led to Seamus' death, Khalid said he only stole his money and did not kill him.
Despite the fact that he stole the victim's money, Khalid was found innocent of murder after the team incarcerated Fiona Cummings for Seamus' murder.
