Events of Criminal Case

Kieran became a suspect after the player and Isaac found his business card in the victim's wallet. He explained that although he had been in the district for many years and spoke to Mario occasionally, he never really got to know him. But nonetheless, he was sad to hear of Mario's death, saying that he had been a crucial part of the community for decades.

Kieran was spoken to again about his schedule, which detailed that he met with the victim personally a short while ago. He confessed they met, but it was in the interest of peace. The war between the Irish and Italian gangs would have been damaging to both their businesses, so they wished to discuss ways to protect themselves from the hostilities both sides presented; only keeping quiet to maintain that peace and to keep the gangs off of them.

In the end, it was revealed that Kieran was behind Mario's murder. After admitting to the murder, Kieran said he was sick of Mario having a high reputation despite him working just as much for the community. Because of his grudge, he strangled Mario with garlands of Italian flags and wheeled him to the market for display. Judge Lawson sentenced him to 25 years in prison.
