Events of Criminal Case
Maniwan became a suspect after Jack and the player found a receipt she wrote to the victim saying she would not cover his tabs anymore. She was sad to hear of her husband's death, and Jack was shocked to hear that the victim was her husband. She last saw Thanid at the bar she worked at, but felt that the victim was a philanderer despite being a boxing champion. Despite that, Thanid was the only family she had and loved him regardless.
Maniwan had to be spoken to again about her blood being found on a tooth at the bar. She said the broken tooth was caused by her husband, and said that he was just as violent outside the ring as he was inside the ring. When he had lost his temper one day, he ended up hitting Maniwan, making her afraid that he could kill her. Jack was sorry for the brutal treatment she had to put up with, and Maniwan replied saying she would not deny on some level that she was glad that Thanid was dead.
Maniwan was later found to be innocent after the team incarcerated Chon Sansurin for Thanid's murder. But Jack and the player had to speak with her again about her husband's childhood, as they suspect he was a part of SOMBRA's next level program. She said Thanid was angry when she asked him about it, and all he would say about it was that it was a photo of him at school. Her husband would never speak much about his upbringing, but she did know that his parents were killed. However, Thanid did not like being called an orphan, st he felt it made him sound weak. She pointed out that when he felt bad, he would go to the Ayutthaya ruins to clear his head, prompting Jack and the player to search there for more clues.
