I know you're a good person in heart and I really hate to lose you as a Sysop, but like I said and again, and the BOD message aside, I knew you come around. Thank you for keeping our Wiki clean from vandals.
To ensure you are using your Sysop powers, we will have a 30-calendar-day policy to ensure you're using your sysop powers. If for any reason we do not see you use your Sysop powers in 30 calendar days (Rules Reminder Rant, Infract, Prosecute), then we will consider you inactive in your sysop powers and we may either require you to discuss the reason for you being inactive or face automatic demotion if we don't get a reply in 7 days from the day the reason request was made, or we may just simply deactivate your sysop powers right away.
I will talk to the Board of Directors about your request. Apparently there's no stopping that Board Member from imposing such, so I will talk to the Board about that and if needed, I will have the Board talk to you directly.
What request do you mean? I agree with you. When I was a bureaucrat, there were two admins who weren't doing anything and I felt the same way you did. The difference is I'm still here. The other two had left. I want to help, they didn't. I want things to be normal and the wiki carries on as normal with me helping as much as I can.
What I meant was that a member of the Board wanted sysops to perform at least one administrative action every 30 days, but I have to disagree with that member's say. My policy is different--as long as you play Criminal Case and as long as you're in good behavior and as long as you know when to prosecute when it's warranted it's fine with me. I'm going to talk to the board because apparently they upsetted you for some reason as they did NOT listen and/or worked with you at times when you were not available. While the Board and myself are the ones who make rules, passes rules, and enforce them, we have to be willing to work with each other to ensure that the Wiki operates smoothly. I think that board member was too pushy IMO. I personally felt that you were upset when that board member "pushed" you to make at least one administrative action every 30 days, but much like a judge being appointed in the Supreme Court for good behavior, I think for as long as you are playing Criminal Case, as long as you are watching the pages, and as long as you are in good behavior I think appointment should be as long as you are playing Criminal Case actively.
I'm going to close this thread because I'd like to take this to a more secure channel if I must.
Hello, Vesther. This has been a VERY busy weekend for me. I have had so much going on with schoolwork, plans, homework, it's just been a lot. You'll understand yourself that other things get in the way of the things you love. I do love editing this wiki and playing Criminal Case. I have already told Icy that I plan on editing more tomorrow. I will try not to let this happen again. Thank you very much.
Thanks for letting me know about your real-life situation. I would highly recommend either making a Message Wall Template and/or notifying your users through your user page about your real-life situation so this way we won't have to worry about you or think that you're abandoning your duty. What I would recommend is that you check the Wiki (for vandalism for the least) at least every 2-4 hours (more often is better) but if school work gets in your way, then I would understand, but try to keep your users updated through either your user page or through a Message Wall Greeting. If you don't know how to make a Message Wall Greeting, then please contact me and I'll help you out.
I don't want to demote anyone but if they don't take their admin duties (i.e. patrolling pages for vandalism, quelling rule-breakers), then I'm forced to take action if required. Of course, I'm pretty sure you don't want to let this happen, so I'd rather help than hinder.
Unfortunately, the Board of Directors have declared you AWOL since you have not made 5 administrative actions (remind, warn, block) in the last 30 days, averaging one administrative action per week. Although I understand that you have schoolwork, I want an explanation as to why you have not used your Sysop Powers in the last 30 days. You have 7 days to explain as to why you haven't used your sysop powers in the last 30 days. Thank you.
I do look for vandalism on the wiki. I try to take action but most of the time I am too late and someone else has taken care of it. I will try to be more vigilant of vandalism, and I ask that I am not classed as AWOL. My recent exams have ended, so I will have more time for the wiki.
Like I sad, I want to work WITH you to ensure that you're not making the Board worried sick as I want to ensure that you are doing your dues. You don't have to infract them, you just have to remind on the comments (if you see heated talks) that you have to mind the rules, just what you think may force people to read the rules over and over.
In three days, to retain your sysop abilities, you need to either prosecute or infract a rule-breaker, or if you need to warn publicly, you can perhaps post a reminder via the Forum. It appears that you haven't been making any administrative actions since last year (before I became a big guy):
If you wish not to retain your Sysop powers, please let us know whereas if you wish to retain your Sysop Powers, please use them within 3 calendar days (by November 11, Vet's Day in US). If we do not see you use your administrative powers, we will be forced to cessate your powers without duress with regret. Thank you.
I knew you needed help with the Case #36 and Case #37. But, no one was contributing to it. So I decided to do it myself. Even though, I'm in Case #23. I just watched Ace's videos. I'll start working on completing the Chapter 3 of Case #37.
I will be moving onto the final case of Grimsborough tomorrow and will be writing the dialogues. I will then move onto Pacific Bay and begin writing the dialogues there. I am also hoping to catch up to the current cases and that will increase my contribution towards the wiki. However, I would not be happy moving onto a new city knowing that there was info missing from the Grimsborough side of things. Knowing that you will be on top of it is making me okay to venture onto the new city.
Hi Niko. I've seen you restarted the dialogues project. I know that's your business and I won't interfere unless you really need a helping hand, but I discovered we don't have The Devil's Playground dialogues. Can you deal with that or you want someone to help you on that?
I'll respect your decision and congratulations for your promotion.
Before I left, another user was writing those dialogues. I'm not sure what happened to them. I can't provide them as I write them as I complete the case. The only thing I need help with when it comes to dialogues is providing the table which says "Case Case Dialogues". I don't know how to create that. Thanks!
Oh, you're welcome. If you've already completed the case, some parts (like the intro) may be lost. If I have time, I can help you with The Devil's Playground so you can focus on Marked for Death and onwards.
About the other user, John.earisgregorio, he left (I think).
I think he has. I'm friends with him of Facebook and he hasn't been active in a while. I think he may have given up Criminal Case completely. I believe some of the case dialogues exist on YouTube if this helps.
