Sadie Smith was a suspect in the murder investigation of her daughter, plumber Bridget Baker, in Burning Bridges (Case #35 of Mysteries of the Past).

Sadie is the 34-year-old mother of the victim. She has long, dirty blonde hair and dirt stains on her face. She dons a beige dress with a white collar underneath a light green checkered shawl with stains and sports a bird tattoo on her right hand. It is known that Sadie eats Stucco Wafers.

Events of Criminal Case
Sadie became a suspect after the player and Maddie identified her from a photo they found at the playground, where Bridget's head was also found. She was saddened at hearing that her daughter was murdered, and explained that she gave birth to Bridget when she was her age, though she gave her up due to a medical condition she has. But even then, she never forgot about her, and even saw her again at the playground hoping they would be a family again, but in the end that did not turn out to be the case.
Sadie was interrogated again about a bottle of morphine the victim had taken from the hospital, which also had her fingerprints on it. She said that her daughter stole it for her, telling her she needed it to relieve pain. But the victim found out she was a morphine addict, and proceeded to dump the morphine on the ground. She was not happy with her daughter's actions, saying she was torturing her.
Sadie was found to be innocent after the team incarcerated Timmy Tanner for Bridget's murder.
