Events of Criminal Case
Scott is the son of Paul Greene from a previous marriage, stepson of Aileen Greene and Alden Greene's grandson. He is also the half-brother of Oliver Greene.
Scott first appeared when the team questioned him about the baseball bat they found, which was used to kill Aileen and had several of his fingerprints upon it. The younger Greene admitted it was his bat, given to him by his father ten years before. He denied having any hand in his stepmother's death, saying he and Aileen got along rather well. When Jones mentioned he had whiskey on his breath, Scott cursed his luck, and told the team not to say anything to his father.
Later, Scott was interrogated again when the team found a baseball card, covered in the victim's blood. And though he denied owning it, he admitted it was extremely rare and valuable. When questioned further, he admitted that he, his father and grandfather all were baseball fans, though his stepmother did not share their love of the sport.
A short while later, the team identified Scott as the killer and came to arrest him. Scott said he killed his step-mother because he thought she was stealing money from his family to support her ex-husband. When he confronted her, she ripped up his favorite baseball card leading him to throw a whiskey bottle at her, beat her to death with a baseball bat, and tying her up post-mortem.
Judge Hall sentenced him to 20 years in prison for the murder of his step-mother.

- At the trial, Gerald Young appeared as Scott's lawyer.
- As Scott turned out to be the killer of his step-mother at the climax of the investigation, he is one of the six killers to commit domestic homicide in Grimsborough, with the other ones being Mikhail Levin, Gloria Fernandez, Misha Goshwalla, Peggy Buxton, and Susan Huckabee.
- Scott may be a parody of American actor Jared S. Gilmore.
