Events of Criminal Case
Sister Beppa became a suspect after the player and Carmen found a flyer of her talk radio show with the victim on the murder scene. She said the victim was a wonderful man who was not afraid to show his political views and were both going to vote "No" in the referendum. She says a unified Europe would have too much power in one place, making the poor even poorer. She was excited to hear that Pietro would become the pope as they would have more listeners, but was shocked to hear that anyone would want to kill Pietro once hearing of his murder.
Beppa was spoken to again once word got out she was holding a protest in Venice by chaining herself to a bridge. She said she protested because she and other nuns believed someone in the pro-referendum killed Pietro. Beppa thought the party would not stand to see a pope against the referendum. Carmen pointed out that the pope cannot take a direct role in politics, but Beppa pointed out the victim would not be direct in anything besides washing feet, that he would be leaving the anti-referendum cause.
Sister Beppa was found to be innocent after the team incarcerated Brother Klaus for killing Pietro.
