Role in Case(s)
Yang became a suspect after the player and Carmen found a copy of "Lord of the Flies" she gave to the victim. She said Han was a bright kid, so she encouraged him to read more so he could have a better future. When asked if she found any suspicious behavior from him, she said he had not been to school for a while so he could help out his Aunt, which a lot of kids in the village do. Despite talking to the parents about the childrens' future, not much could have been done.
Yang was spoken to again about some burned books found in the forest. She explained it was the kids' doing, every one of them including the victim. Carmen was surprised they would do that; but when she asked why she did not say that in the first place, Yang said all of them were acting out of character. She did not report because nothing could have been done, as she fears for her own safety.
In the end, Yang was found to be innocent after the team incarcerated Zhao Mei for Han's murder.
